Can you see the pencil lines? The ideas forming behind them? Can you see the potential this painting has? Do you see the sun rising behind the trees? Can you see the sun streaming through the trees onto the grass in front? Can you see the light spring breeze rustling the leaves on the trees? Or do you just see a white canvas with a few pencil marks?
This is the current state of my art project. After planning and studying I finally sketched it out on the canvas! Now it's time for a burnt umber under painting!
