1. As silly as this sounds, I'm nervous to not have an art teacher giving me feedback and suggestions. What if I do something completely wrong and it just looks horrible?
2. I'm nervous about how big the painting is. Two feet by four feet. I can barely carry the canvas by myself!
3. I'm nervous about buying the right art supplies. Before I've just always used what was in the classroom, and now I have to buy it all on my own?!
4. I'm nervous because I don't have an actual scene to work from. I'm hoping to do something like this.
But, I am going to try to make it into a spring scene instead of fall and I want to twist the angle around so the tree in the foreground of the picture is about 2/3 of the way across the canvas. So really I have a general idea of a picture to work off of but the rest is just coming from my mind. And what if what's in my mind doesn't come out looking good?
5. I'm nervous I won't have time to finish it before the summer's up. But I don't want it hanging around still once fall comes and classes start so I do want to get it done.
6. And most of all. I'm nervous my aunt and uncle won't like it. I know it's silly, but I've never given one of my paintings to someone before, let alone been commissioned for a painting.
So, thanks for listening to my ranting and my nerves. I'll probably post pictures as the project moves along so I have someone to account to and the project will get done. But if any of you have hidden artistic abilities and have any input, please let me know!
You will be amazing :) I like what you've done so far with the picture.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have hidden artistic talents. :)
