General Conference

This weekend was my church's semi-annual general conference. I was able to attend two of the sessions in the Conference Center something I have never been able to do before!! It was so amazing to be there! I love watching the prophets and apostles interact they are super cute! Also I think Sister Utchdorf is the most adorable thing ever! And can I just say that I never realized how tall Elder Perry is?! He's a giant!! It was amazing to get to be in the same room as all the apostles and prophets for four hours this weekend!

The messages were also absolutely perfect and exactly what I needed to here. I felt the Spirit so strong in everything they said. Here are some of the things I wrote down in my notes.

• We move forward certain the the Lord will watch over us. - Pres Packer
• When we have done our best we may still face disappointment but we will not be disappointed in ourselves. - Sister Beck
• There is constant comfort and counsel available from our Heavenly Father. - Elder Andersen
• Your mother is your greatest source of wisdom. - Elder Ballard
• A God of love does not leave us to learn by sad experience. - Elder Christofferson
• The temple arms you with power and gives angels ability to watch over you. - Elder Holland
• "I am like a 20 dollar bill. Crumpled and worn, but still worth the same amount"
• In the most difficult times of life there is often only one source of peace, the Prince of Peace. - Elder Hallstrom
• No one is exempt from the storms of life. - Elder Cook
• If there is a design in this world, there must be a Designer. - Pres. Monson
• When you wonder what to do in your life, think of the Savior's life. - Elder Anderson

Anyway, those are just a few of the things that I wrote down and loved during conference! I cannot wait to get my own copy of the Ensign magazine and to read and mark it up throughout the coming months. Each talk was wonderful and had marvelous teachings in it! I loved this weekend!
