Oh dear dear dear

Growing up I always thought the nanny in the Eloise books was crazy.

I didn't understand why she repeated things three times.

"Eloise it's time for bed bed bed."

"Eloise go wash your hands hands hands."

And then the other week I realized I do this same thing when I'm babysitting.

Cars go "zoom zoom zoom,"

We go "up up up" or "down down down" stairs,

The weather is "cold cold cold" or "hot hot hot,"

And when we're in a hurry it's "quick quick quick we need to go go go." 

Of course then the only thing to do is laugh laugh laugh at yourself.
