Create!

You know when you've had something you've been meaning to do for a long, long time, but still haven't managed to do it yet? 

A little under two years ago my aunt and uncle asked me to paint a picture for them, so I started it and then it sat in my room as school and life sucked me away from it.  

Since we had a three day weekend at the beginning of this semester when there weren't many assignments drawing me away, I decided to sit down this weekend and finish the painting. 

I didn't take a picture of what it looked like before I started painting this weekend, but it was still entirely under-painting - which meant it was all shades of brown. 

Adding color is my favorite part, so I was excited when I started mixing my palate. 

First I added the blue sky, though you can barely see it in this picture

Then I added some bright green grass.

Next came the trees. I forgot to take a picture of them before I started putting leaves on, but this is close enough. 

And finally, the finished product!

The world is full of magnificent colors and creations. Take time to slow down and enjoy them.
