The other day I visited my eye doctors.

For the record, eye doctors are my favorite doctors to visit.
You get a new prescription, pick out cute new glasses, and voila! The world is clearer!
Amazing!

So the nurse lady took me back to the room - where they blows puffs of air into your eye, scan your eyes with little laser things, all that fun stuff - and sat me down in front of the eye chart, took my glasses away, and asked what the highest line I could read was.

I looked at the chart and the entire thing was blurry.
Half jokingly I asked if I was allowed to squint, she laughed and told me to just do my best.

So sheepishly I said "E."

The only letter on the chart I could make out was the big fat E on the top. Goodness gracious.

So today I am thankful for my sight. My glasses might cut or annoy me at times, but they allow me to see all the simple beauties in the world around me.

Side note: Remember the painting I started two summers ago? Yup, that's my project for this three day weekend.
Stay posted.
