“A Master at the Art of Living makes no distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues with excellence what he is about and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. He, himself, always knows he is doing both.”

This Summer I ...
  • Took 11 credit hours of classes and beasted all of them
    • Studied from cadavers – absolutely fascinating!
  • Continued working on campus and got a promotion
  • Was asked to work with the 14-15 year old young women in my church
    • Had an identity crisis over the fact that I was their leader but only a few years older than them
    • Went on a 3 day camping trip with the youth
    •  Taught a lesson to my girls every other Sunday
  • Went white water rafting for the first time in my life and didn't die (you may laugh, but I was worried)
  • Went rock-climbing for the first time
  • Slept under the stars for the first time in my life
  •  Took a trip home!
    • Saw lightening bugs and heard cicadas again
    • Enjoyed Rita’s Water Ice once more!
    • Went to my little sisters’ swim meets, plays, and recognitions
    • Visited my favorite store – Salvation Army
  • Saw the final Harry Potter at midnight and cried through the whole thing (yes, I admit it)
  • Attended plenty of weddings and bridal showers
  • Made a family history storybook
  • Went on my first blind date ever
  • Got sunburned
  • Managed to only get very few mosquito bites

Well here's to the last week of summer before fall classes start again!
