Free Time?

The other day my sister commented that I only blog about my sisters. I don't know why she was complaining, but just to satisfy her this is not a blog about sisters.

Tonight, for the first time in a long time, I had free time. If you do not understand how incredible that statement is, I assure you this is a rare occurrence. Sure I have some 400 pharmacology terms I could be memorizing, or I could be getting prepared for upcoming tests, but tonight, tonight I have done everything I need to and am going enjoying some time off.  After all, I am a therapeutic recreation major.

So I thought I would share some things that I have enjoyed lately.

Today my coworker told me my hair was "soft like a mouse's belly." At first I thought that was the strangest compliment ever, but after she explained herself it made a little more sense. But just a little.

I got an email from my friend serving a mission for our church today which always makes my day brighter, but I especially enjoyed one comment today. He was commenting on Valentine's Day and how he can't recall what it's like to be in love, but that as far as he can remember, "falling in love feels something like eating a philly cheesesteak." I laughed really hard.

Fun story. My FHE brother is a film major and last semester I had a minor role in his film which I thought was pretty exciting. So the other night he came over and asked me if I would be in his movie this semester. After reading through the script I asked who he was thinking of having me play and he was like, "um, the main girl." When I agreed to do it, he commented "oh good, I was hoping you'd accept because I wrote it with you in mind." Ladies and gentleman, watch out, I have had a part written for me in a film and am going to be the leading lady. Hollywood beware!

This has no story as I just happened upon the quote, but was worth sharing.
"We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same."
