Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow!

Last night we had a snow storm. The first main one of the season back home. It snowed for over 12 hours straight and the winds were super fierce. The wreaths outside my window were banging around like crazy and I ended up having to pull my bed away from the window so I could get some sleep. And then we woke up to a winter wonderland. But watching my little sister run and jump into the snow, build caves into the snow, and have the time of her life outside looks fun but I am quite content to stay warm and cozy inside. What happened to the time when running around in the snow was fun?

Now, thinking about playing in the snow makes me think of being cold, wet, frozen, and utterly uncomfortable. So if you need me today I'll be inside sipping hot chocolate with biscotti, and immersed in a novel. Most likely the novel will be about a girl who meets the man of her dreams and falls hopelessly in love and they live happily ever after. I'm in quite the sappy romantic mood. Maybe I'll watch some Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibility. But definitely I will be cuddled up under a blanket and not out in the snow.
